BOTOX Cosmetic

The name BOTOX Cosmetic has become synonymous with the injectable neurotoxin category as a whole. But what actually is it? How does it work? And what in the world is a vertical band connecting the neck and jaw?

We created an informative yet entertaining late-night talk show to explain all things BOTOX, starring real-life cosmetic dermatologists Caroline Robinson, MD and Janelle Vega, MD.

*More episodes going live throughout the rest of the year

 Lab After Hours

Episode 1: The Truth About BOTOX® Cosmetic and Neurotoxins

Introducing: Lab After Hours, a late-night talk show with a medical twist.
Where two certified doctors break down all the BOTOX Cosmetics facts in a light-hearted, approachable tone, and have fun doing it.

The first three episodes are live on BOTOX’s YouTube page, with vertical cutdowns running on their social channels to drive viewers to the full episodes.

Episode 2: Treatment Areas Explained

Episode 3: How BOTOX Cosmetic Is Made

…and one more episode to come!

In bringing this concept to life, we had a few mandatories: we needed a talk show set and a lab set, both of which had to hero a brand color, be easily adapted to BOTOX’s sister brands, and work on a limited budget—and of course, look nice.

SPCSHP and I took the lead in designing these spaces, working closely with the directors and production team to strike the right balance between the warmth of talk shows, and the clean sterility of a doctor’s office or science lab. These same sets were then used for more Lab After Hours episodes for other brands under the Allergan Aesthetics umbrella, handled by another agency.

A Multi-Brand, Multi-Agency Production

This was my first experience working with an LED volume wall, recommended for its versatility, quality, and time-and-budget-friendly nature. I worked with the VFX artist to shape the overall look, set elements, colors, and props—eventually landing on bright, branded backdrops that could be swapped out with a click to transport our talent to a different room, no company move required.
